ABOUT MGS
Better Utility Information Starts With Understanding What's There.

Mackey Geospatial Services helps project teams locate, research, investigate, and map existing utility infrastructure before design and construction.
Built for the Work That Happens Before Design.
Many projects begin with incomplete utility records, conflicting information, old plans, 811 markings, and visible utility features that don’t always tell the same story.
MGS brings those pieces together through utility research, field investigation, locating, and geospatial mapping—giving project teams a clearer understanding of existing infrastructure before design begins.
Our primary focus is pre-design and pre-construction utility discovery, when better information can have the greatest impact on planning, engineering, surveying, and project development.
More Than Paint on the Ground.
MGS approaches utility discovery as an information problem—not simply a locating task.

Map
Research — Review utility records, plans, and available project information.
Investigate — Compare records with field evidence and existing utility features.
Locate — Identify detectable underground utilities using appropriate locating methods.
Map — Organize findings into CAD, GIS, KMZ, CSV, and other project-ready deliverables.

Jordan Mackey
Founder / Owner
Jordan brings 7 years of utility locating experience, including the last three years focused on utility surveying and mapping. His experience combines field utility investigation with CAD/GIS, geospatial data collection, utility records research, and project-ready mapping deliverables.
Meet the Team
MGS is a hands-on team with experience in utility locating, field investigation, mapping, CAD/GIS, and infrastructure documentation.

Austin Mackey
Director of Field Operations
Austin brings 10 years of utility locating experience, including five years in leadership roles as a supervisor and lead technician. He leads MGS field operations, drawing on extensive experience in utility locating, crew leadership, field coordination, and project execution.

Kadyn Mackey
Utility Crew Chief
Kadyn brings 4 years of utility locating experience and currently works as a crew chief performing utility locating and surveying. His experience includes underground utility investigation, field data collection, and coordinating field activities to support accurate utility mapping.

Bryson Davis
Utility Technician
Bryson has hands-on experience supporting utility locating and surveying field operations. Working alongside an experienced crew chief, he assists with utility investigations, field data collection, and the documentation of existing infrastructure.
